Our experience

CEDIA, is the National Research and Education Network of Ecuador. For 20 years it has been promoting training, technology, research, development and innovation through initiatives that link academic institutions, government and private companies. We create collaborative networks and promote initiatives that involve technology for quality improvement and digital transformation of the health sector through the E-health by CEDIA program.

CEDIA, is a strategic partner of ECHO Institute in Ecuador since 2016. More than 320 tele-clinical sessions have been held since then, with the participation of 4,450 attendees, as well as meetings that brought together more than 600 health professionals. Futermore, partnerships were established with important national and international institutions that strengthened the project.

The ECHO CEDIA Super hub’s mission is to support and train academic institutions, centers or organizations throughout Latin America to apply the ECHO model. Our experience allows us to provide the necessary resources to empower local communities to access the knowledge of health experts anywhere in the world. We are certain that the benefits of knowledge are a social good that should be available to all.

We provide resources and tools through training and support to ensure fidelity to Project ECHO, with the purpose that interested organizations develop an effective model to de-monopolize and democratize medical knowledge in the neediest regions of their country.
